Hello Friends, India Point Park Bridge Brigade Friends, and IPPBB supporters! I am a life-long Rhode Islander, who is currently living in Vermont (but traveling back to RI about every three weeks). I’ve traveled to various DC protests more than 6 times in the past two years (usually by train) and joined a group of Vermonters on a Rally Bus to the Free DC March in Sept 2025. I learned a lot about (and really enjoyed) Rally Bus… and I hope to make our journey to the “March on Washington, DC: Defend the Vote” a great experience for YOU, and your family & friends who can join us! We need 44 seats sold by July 26th for the trip to move forward! If 50 seats sell, the ticket price is lowered for all of us. The current price is estimated at $150 per person. All seats are equally priced, no kids or senior rates. Please note, details and “How to Pack/what to bring” as well as safety suggestions will all be updated when we reach our goal of 44 Rally Bus Riders. The basics (to keep our trip timely) - we will meet just before midnight (11:45 pm Thursday 08.27.26) at a TBD location close to Warwick, RI (which may be a park’ n ‘ride). Experience had taught me that our arrival time may be closer to 9-10 am (not 7 am!) as we need to account for two necessary stop and stretch breaks, and account for unexpected highway construction/traffic delays. The 7 pm DC bus departure time will allow us some time after the March/Rally for exploring the nearby monuments, or leisurely walking (or Ubering/Lyfting) safely back to our bus. While summer sales are on, I do suggest considering getting a good HAT, a hydration pack for the event, and a travel neck pillow for the bus. Lots more info on how to pack & what to bring - once we reach our goal!!! If we get a great response quickly, it is entirely possible to add a second bus!
